The striking combination of desert terrain, mountains and beautiful beaches make for many exciting activities and attractions for every type of vacationer.
Fishing and golf are two top Cabo San Lucas attractions, but Cabo is also well known for shopping malls. Right here in my office in front of me is a beautiful ironwood sculpture I purchased on my last trip to Cabo.
Shoppes at Palmilla mall: They say at this shopping plaza Shop, Dine, hang-out. You'll find restaurants, clothing stores, jewelry stores, furntiture stores and more. Open every day except Sunday .
Luxury Avenue: This Cabo shoppng mall has eveything high end. What you saved in booking the Hyatt with us you can spend here on gifts for yourself or loved ones. Known brands like Burberry, Tiffany & Co, and Cartier. Open daily from 9AM - 9PM. Cabo San Lucas Marina.
And for us common folk, the lovely Plaza San Lucas: This plaza has a Walmart, a Sam's Club, a Radio Shack and even various places to eat

1Orson Wells said:
There's a philistine and an intellectual in every one of us

Steve's swami man (not salami, but swami like the well known Sivananda Saraswati who was a Hindu spiritual teacher and a proponent of Yoga and Vedanta and three-card-stud.
Sivananda was born Kuppuswami but changed his name the way Hollywood personalities do) make this game. No Sivananda did not participate in this game. Been years since he's been around.

A swami is a a yogi (not the Bear) who has written some religious books, that never make it to the NY Times best-seller lists.

A salami on the other hand is a spicy cold-cut in the form of a small baseball bat for midgets used in sandwiches.

Swamis have dirty sheets or towels wrapped around them and wear fabric hats on their heads.

More fun playing this game and wandering around the Hyatt Ziva to find four swimming pools.

Cirque-du-soleil-style shows, live music .

Morning yoga on the beach. Or a brisk game of three-card-stud by the pool.

And let the youngsters play and explore in KidZ Club, open daily for kids ages 4 - 12, with fun supervised activities like make a gift for mommy!

The barman at Hyatt Cabo is so nice. A prince. Yesterday old Rosita asked for a Planters Punch. After Jose served her and went to attend to the other happy guests, Rosita called him back and asked Jose (whom by the way Rosita thinks is Hose A) for another slice of pineapple in her drink.
A few minutes later she asked for more ice and another of those cute umbrellas they put in the drinks for a souvenir for her son (this way she don't need to buy anything).
Jose with a warm friendly smile fixed up the drink as Rosita requested.
When Rosita left the bar, Jose found a few pennies on the counter. Earning Rosita the nickelname Five Cents.
All tips are included in the all-inclusive package but sometimes for special service some give something extra. Like cheap old Rosita there.

There's an adults only pool with a bar here at the Hyatt Cabo all-inclusive with top shelf drinks good people. Irish whiskey. Fine wines. Of course the best Mexican tequilla. Do try the tequilla sunrise cocktail. Great.

1This at Hyatt is a style of Japanese cuisine that uses an iron griddle to cook your food.
The word teppanyaki is derived from teppan, which means iron plate, and yaki, which means grilled, broiled, or pan-fried.
In Japan, teppanyaki refers to dishes cooked using an iron plate, including steak, shrimp, okonomiyaki, yakisoba, and monjayaki.
Modern teppanyaki grills are typically propane-heated flat surface grills and are widely used to cook food in front of you in the Hyatt Japanese restaurant.
Rainbow and Susan who had a pad just off Thompkins Square park in the Lower East Side of Manhattan have dreamed of doing Baja for years.
The park bordered by Avenues A and B going east and west, and by 10th and 7th Streets north to south were their meeting place with Rainbow pushing her stroller with baby Damjeela in it.
They sat on their favorite bench and rapped about their trip. Not Baja north, but Cabo San Lucas and the majestic all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva Los Cabo resort.
Their deadbeat, undependable, beat poet husbands could not be counted upon to come up with the dough.
Waitressing in the West Village brought in a few sheckels, as did the passing of the plate in poetry readings, and even though that good guy CancunSteve had low-low-low prices for the all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva Los Cabo, they still lacked the funds.
And although CancunSteve has interest free financing, as neither Rainbow, Susan, Damjeela had bank accounts that angle would not get them there.

Susan got a few ancient Nokia’s hidden somewhere around her pad on Avenue A near that busted window covered with cardboard. She’d be surprised to know that she can actually get some cash to sell them. A lot of companies offer compensation for recycling old phones which are shipped somewhere to Asia and getting dismantled there.

In French medieval cuisine, a long time ago, banquets were common among the aristocracy. Multiple courses would be prepared.
Now you today re-live this epoque of the aristocracy here in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.

When selecting from the menu keep in mind: Bordeaux is known for its wine. The Pyrenees also support top quality lamb, such as the Agneau de Pauillac, as well as high quality sheep cheeses.
Shortly before the French Revolution, dishes like bouchées la Reine gained prominence. Essentially royal cuisine produced by the royal household, this is a chicken-based recipe served on vol-au-vents created under the influence of Queen Marie Leszczynska, the wife of Louis XV. No one in Paris could pronounce her name.
Shame.
Do the vol au vents, say Queen Lesa-something or other sent me.
Linger over decadent main courses, featuring the freshest catch of the day, beef or poultry.
Savor classic French dishes like duck magret with berries or the coq au vin. Allow our sommelier to recommend the perfect wine to complement your selection. Then savor a decadent crème brûlée or chocolate fondant with a fine aperitif.

Here in Cabo San Lucas which hosts the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, time has little meaning. The people all smile, welcoming you with an open heart.
How can anyone be unhappy when the shine shines every day, and the spa a few steps away at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
Once upon a time, the indians who lived here were a healthy, happy group until the missionaries who came here also brought disease, sickness, and Bibles no one knew how to read.
The first famous visitor to Cabo San Lucas was Fernando Cortez back in 1535. He was sent by the Spanish to explore. His visit was brief, as at that time the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos did not yet exist, and Cortes did not want to rough it.
He went back to the ship, hoisted the sails, pulled up anchor and off he went into the wild blue yonder.
Then in 1587 Spain and England were at war. Again? This Spanish guy working in construction for an English Lord was learning English, and wanted to ask for a brick but pronunded his b's as p's.
So began yet another idiotic European war.
The English crown sent this dude Cavendish out in a ship to capture Spanish galleons.
Even though the Spanish boats were well equipped, they lacked three things:
Guns that worked. Theirs, cheap pistols from China misfired and fell apart.
Ammunition, as when their ships set sail, the disorganized Spanish forgot to load the amunition onto the ships.
And their cannons never worked.
So it was easy for Cavendish to capture the galleons. As easy as a relaxing massage in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos spa. And with Resort Credits we provide, do the spa FREE.
Cavendish captured the Santa Ana Claus which was a great loss for the Spanish.
This showed the Spanish the need for a safe port in the Californias.
So in 1594 Spain sent Viscaino to lower California. He met friendly indians, partied, lived the good-life, then went on to La Paz.
Little is known of this sailor afterwards, and though he was lost, he is also forgotten.
No one thinks of him but everyone knows of the all-inclusive resort the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
Again in 1709 the bloody British were hounding the galleons.
The English pirate passing by Chili picked up a man who had been marooned on an island for four long years.
You may recognize him in DeFoe's classic Robinson Crusoe.
Then these guys anchored in Cabo San Lucas. They met the Pericu indians, said how. Passed the peace pipe. And looked around but still no Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos to stay at.
Then they forgot about the old galleon, and continued passing around the pipe.
By the 1720's the Jessuits showed up to set up a missionary. No more peace pipes. They were out to teach Christianity to the indians.
A misionary was digging around and came upon a casket containing a mummy that came all the way from the Holy Land.
After examining it, he called the curator of an Israel museum in Jerusalem on his mobile device.
"I've just discovered a 3000-year old mummy of a man who died of heart failure! the excited misionay exclaimed.
The curator replied, "Bring him in. We'll check it out."
A week later the curator called the archaeologist, "You were right about both the mummy's age and cause of death. How in the world did you know?"
"Easy. There was a piece of paper in his hand that said '10,000 Shekels on Goliath'."
He wanted to use the winnings for a trip out to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.

A missionary who had spent years showing a tribe of indians how to farm and build things to be self-sufficient gets word that he is to return to Spain. He thinks that the one thing he never did was to teach these natives how to speak Spanish or English, so he takes the chief and starts walking in the desert near the ocean. He points to a tree and tells the chief,' this is a tree.' The chief looks at the tree and grunts,' tree.' The missionary is pleased with the response. They walk a little farther and the padre points to a rock and says,' this is a rock.' At which the chief looks and grunts,' rock.'
The misionary is really getting enthusiastic about the results when he hears a rustling in the bushes. As he peaks over the top he sees a couple in the midst of heavy romantic activity submarine race watching. The misionary is really flustered and quickly responds,' riding a bike.' The chief looks at the couple briefly, pulls out his blow gun and kills them. The misionary goes ballistic and yells at the chief that he has spent years teaching the tribe how to be civilized and kind to each other, so how could he kill these people.

The chief replied,' my bike.'
Take your bike on down to the the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and have the best vacation of a lifetime.

During the 1800's settlement of the Sea of Cortez was thriving. Pearls had been found in oysters in the waters near the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, and the greedy misionaries took up a second collection after mass.
Monies for the usurper of the ligitimate Spanish government, Franco, so he could buy planes from Musolini and arms from Hitler in the Spanish civil war. Monies for the Spanish forces fighting against the Mexicans desiring their independence.

Some years later, the US Smithsonian Institute sent Captain Richie to study the flora and fauna of this area near the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
He ended up living here for forty years, with his local wife, having numerous kids, none of which spoke English.
Some say they were mute. Others that they were too dumb to learn.
Today here in the area find many families of English descent. Maybe one is from Captain Richie.
Or perhaps misionary Pedro.
In 1890 someone built a lighthouse.
No not an outhouse. Not a cathouse, but a real lighthouse.
The lens of high French quality is still used today!
The old lighthouse still stands today as a reminder of days past.
The lifeblood of the indians was the abundance of fish.
If you don't believe me, smell them.
Fishing is still the mainstay of the locals in Cabo.
But nothing is more regal than the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
People come from around the world to fish, relax, play golf, go to the upscale duty free shops in town, rustle in the bushes, and do the restaurants and bars in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
Speaking of shopping don't forget to pick up an ironwood sculpture. I have one in our home.
Remember to bargain. After shopping watch the pelicans in the harbor. They follow the fishing boats.
When marlin is cut up they go for chunks of fish or bait.
They are carefree like the children of Cabo.
After school, they walk home playing as they go.
They stop for an ice cream from the cart.
Makes for a nice photo.
And don't forget to take some photos of your suite at the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, or the dinner in the Japanese restaurant in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. Or yoga on the beach.
And in the French restaurant.
Experience the finest French cuisine in the sophisticated and elegant ambiance of Bon Vivant.
Exclusively for adults, this inviting destination offers a relaxed atmosphere where traditional and modern French dishes are complemented by a robust optional wine selection.
Take a photo therein of the two of you.
Begin with traditional French appetizers like goat cheese and foie gras vol au vent or white wine black mussels. Then continue your culinary journey the French way with a delicious onion soup topped with crispy cheese croutons or lobster bisque scented with Pernod.

some history:
Once upon a time, Hernan Cortez sat in his headquarters on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec suffering from hemroids. Yelling help me! Help me! Melinche gave him a quick kick in the ass and shouted take me to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos!
Cortez groaned it ain't built yet mi corazon.

So build it for me!
To impress his indian girlfriend he said what may I conquer next. Just then, a shipwreck survivor reported an island ten sailing days north that was populated by Amazons and was rich in gold and pearls. That sounded to Hernán like the fabled island of California ruled by the Amazonian Queen, Calafia.
Or was it RuPaul the drag queen.
He fairly drooled at the thought. Andale, hombre, he told his ship builder, build me a boat.
In 1535, with three galleons and a compliment of over 600 men and women, Hernan sailed into a tranquil bay which he promptly named Santa Cruz. It didn’t take him long to figure out that there weren’t no gold and there weren’t no Amazons, neither.
He said to Melinche, I'll get that lying sailor for this.
He packed up and sailed south for the last time. Then ol' Hernán Cortés first came upon Cabo San Lucas in 1537.
He thought what a spot for an all-inclusive resort with fine restaurants, golf, spa, and bars with top shelf booze.
At the time he had no idea the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos would one day be here.
But there were pearls in the waters around Santa Cruz.
Cortez was too stupid to find them.
Mind you those succers are small and hidden in oyster shells.
Later on Sebastian Vizcaino set up a pearl fishing colony there knowing full well that he was certain to become a wealthy man and take Melinche away from Cortez.
He found a few pearls, but not enough to support his expedition and drinking habit; he also found a whole bunch of unsociable Indians.
The indians called him names like Ben Dover, Jack Goff, and Mike Litoris.
The Spanish Crown told the Jesuits to go to California and settle down the Indians. Make Christians out of them said the King.
Then book me a room for the week in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
However some people simply don’t like change. The Indians were not happy with Jesuits. They didn’t much like wearing clothing. They did not like monogamy.
But you my friend will love Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos for your all-inclusive holiday.
Shortly after World War II, a group of Southern Californians learned that they could fly to La Paz and then travel by crummy roads to the shores of the Mar de Cortes. Little by little word leaked that the Sea of Cortes was teeming with fish. Big fish.

Bing Crosby, Phil Harris, Desi Arnaz, and John Wayne in 1948 they pooled their money and built hotel Las Cruces on the East Cape.
Most crude compared to the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
That old hotel had no WiFi. No spa. No fine dining. Lots of fishing rods and bait in rusty coffe cans.
Ten years later the equally simple hotel La Palmilla was built near San Jose del Cabo; again nothing like the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos with a pillow menu, room service, flat screen TV's, and butler service.
Luis Coppola put up hotel Finisterra near the very end of the cape and Luis Bulnes quickly countered with hotel Solmar; Cabo was in the thick of the race for the tourist dollars.
A peninsular highway, completed in 1974, opened the Peninsula to America. When Los Cabos International Airport was expanded in 1986, Los Cabos’ lure reached deep into the United States and Canada and triggered the imagination of every citizen.
Marlin fishing tournaments were drawing international acclaim by this time and non-fishermen and their ladies were discovering the sun, the beaches, and romantic star-bright nights while strolling las playas del Mar de Cortes.
Then finally comes Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, perched on the tip of the Baja California Peninsula, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos the luxurious all-inclusive oasis for all-ages.
Just up the Pacific Coast, between desert dunes and ocean rock formations, this magnificent beachfront resort offers spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez and is only minutes from San José del Cabo.

A small boat docked in this tiny village not far from the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
An American tourist vacationing at this upscale all-inclusive resort complimented the Mexican fisherman on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.
"Not so long," answered the Mexican.
"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more? " asked the tourist.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family. (as long as his fat mother-in-law doesn't come to visit)
The tourist asked, "So what do you do with the rest of your time?
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, spend time with my wife.
In the evenings I go into the village to see my friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, chase the senioras, and sing a few songs.
I have a good life. Although I can't afford to go to the Hyatt Ziva Los cabos even with the BIG discounts Senor Steve gives.
"The tourist said, "I have a M. B. A. from Stanford, and an unmentionable disease, and I can help you.
You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue , you can buy a bigger boat. With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of boats.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.
You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City, Los Angeles, or even Hoboken, New Jersey!
From there you can direct your huge enterprise. "How long would that take? " asked the Mexican."Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the tourist."And after that? " asked the Mexican.
"Afterwards? That's when it gets really interesting," answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start selling stocks and make millions! "Millions? Really? " asked the Mexican.
"And after that? "The tourist replied, "After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny village near the coast, sleep late, play with your children, catch a few fish, spend time with your wife, and spend your evenings drinking and playing the guitar with your friends! "
Que pendejo thought the fisherman!

A middle manager just back from a marvelous holiday in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, is called into his bosses office on a Monday morning.
He is told he has to get rid of one employee in his department by the next Monday.
"Downsizing says the grumpy old boss:.
He's really upset.
Everyone in his department does a good job and it doesn't seem fair.
So for the next two days he racks his brain trying to figure out who to fire.
On Tuesday afternoon he sees Jack and Jill standing at the water cooler. He says to himself, "Okay it's going to be one of them. "
He spends the next few days scrutinizing what each of them does. Everything is equal. Productivity. Time off. Reports. Everything. Except Jill has BIG tits. Like the barmaid back in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
He's in a quandary. It's Friday afternoon and he knows his going to have to think about this all weekend.
Everyone has left the office except Jack and Jill, who are getting ready to leave.
She comes over to say goodbye. "Have a good weekend boss. Hey except for your tan, you don't look so good.
Is everything okay?
"He looks at her and says "To be honest, I'm having a tough time here. I can't decide if I should lay you or Jack off.
"And she looks at him and says "Well I have to catch a bus, so i suggest you jack off."

Jack and Jill book into the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, on the tip of Baja California, Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos a luxurious all-inclusive oasis for all-good people.
Just up the Pacific Coast, between desert dunes and ocean rock formations, this magnificent beachfront all-inclusive resort offers awesome views of the Sea of Cortez and is not far from the town of San José del Cabo. Jill indulges in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos' private spa treatments overlooking the ocean, while Jacks baits hooks and fishes.
With some luck you may spot a whale off the shores of the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.
Whats the difference between my mother-in-law and a blue whale? Ten pounds.
Jonah tasted bad. The whale said to God. Hey got this dude Jonah inside of me and makes me want to loose my lunch.
But here in Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos everything tastes great. Snacks. Breakfast with fresh rolls. Dinner with a glass of sparkling wine.
With everything going on in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, you may not want to take a few moments to explore the area.
But in the event you do, driving down the road notice the ugly birds with red beaks. These are vultures, not Hilary Clinton.
The vultures can fly. Hilary can lie.
Along the highway, cattle and burros are everywhere. See cows lazily crossing the road.
Why did Hilary cross the road? To get away from the lie.
The Hacienda steak house in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos features fine cuts. No local cows or burros, but real Angus beef so tender and good.

As the road nears the shore see pelicans diving for fish. These birds have a six-foot wing span. They are magnificient.
But not as nearly magnificient as the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos. The pelicans dive head-first into the sea to get the fish they saw from above.

The condors just float above the waters with the sea breezes not far from the all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos.

See splendid cactus after cactus, that sport flowers with the winter rains.
Flowers of red, yellow, and purple.
The cardon barbon cactus can grow up to 50 feet tall.
It appears to have skinny fingers rising up against the blue sky.
Not like those magic fingers in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos spa giving you a massage.

Cabo is the home of numerous fishing tournaments for those ready to put that squigling worm on the hook (ooch!).
The Billfish tournament is the big one.
If you go fishing you may ask the chefs in the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos to prepare your catch for you.
They may.
On the fishing boat if you're prone to sea sickness don't sit next to the lady with the white dress.

Most of the produce, meat, and other foodstuff comes into Cabo by ferry.

This includes many of the local shops selling ceramic figurines, dishes, dresses, and batteries.
